Job Title:	Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst Intern
Department:	ITS – Information Security
Student Employment Type:	Federal Work-Study
Responsibilities:	Monitor security alerts – identify and report potential security incidents Investigate incidents – assist in investigating security events Phishing detection and response - assist in identifying and responding to phishing attempts Learn and operate security tools - assist in configuring and utilizing various SOC tools including SIEM, SOAR, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, honeypots, etc.
Qualifications:	Interest in cybersecurity Possesses a positive attitude Exhibits professionalism in all interactions
Hours of Position:	Five hours per day, three days per week. Subject to change based on intern’s class schedule
