WorldQuant develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a broad range of asset classes and global markets. We seek to produce high-quality predictive signals (alphas) through our proprietary research platform to employ financial strategies focused on market inefficiencies. Technologists at WorldQuant research, design, code, test and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling while working collaboratively with researchers and portfolio managers. Computer Science degree (advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred- particularly with storage technologies or distributed systems)
Extensive experience as a key contributor in the development of complex software systems (leading financial services firm experience preferred- particularly involved in high performance systems)
Deep expertise in modern Java and distributed systems, with hands-on experience building scalable, resilient, mission-critical services
Strong experience with data-intensive architectures using technologies such as Kafka, PostgreSQL and/or BigQuery, with a track record of performance optimization and reliability in production
