Why we're hiring:

We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional to play a key role in the timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts for the Infosum legal entities within the wider WPP EMEA Group. This position is responsible for providing insightful variance analysis, exception reporting, and ensuring robust financial reporting that supports effective business decision-making.
Working closely with the Infosum's junior management accountant, you will collaborate on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and SAP BFC reporting processes while also contributing to initiatives that drive greater efficiency, improve controls, and enhance ways of working across both the finance function and the wider business.

Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships across multiple teams and levels of seniority. You will partner closely with colleagues across Finance and the business, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial information and supporting key strategic objectives.

This role sits within the Infosum Finance Team, reporting directly to the SVP Finance of Infosum in the short term and longer term to the Financial Controller. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative global organisation.

InfoSum is WPP’s privacy-first data collaboration technology, trusted by global businesses to unlock the full potential of their first-party data without risk. Its patented, cross-cloud, decentralized collaboration technology leverages advanced Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) to radically transform how companies generate audience intelligence and drive better customer experiences.

What you'll be doing:

  • Take ownership of the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, ensuring all balances are accurately reconciled to the Trial Balance.
  • Prepare and post journals, including accruals and salary postings, in line with IFRS accounting standards.
  • Lead monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast, providing clear insights and exception reporting to support decision-making.
  • Investigate and resolve post month-end queries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all supporting schedules reconcile to the Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Own the month-end reporting pack, ensuring compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
  • Support SOX, interim and year-end audits by providing relevant documentation, analysis and responses to auditor requests.
  • Prepare direct and indirect tax filings as required for the UK legal entity and support preparation with external advisers for non UK legal entities.
  • Prepare management and external reporting submissions, including supporting schedules within BFC.
  • Partner with the EMEA finance team to resolve reporting queries and ensure the accuracy of submissions.
  • Produce and submit monthly financial commentaries to EMEA stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly and year-end reporting packs in line with Group reporting requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with company policies, financial controls and SOX requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and drive efficiencies across the finance function.
  • Act as a key contact for the Junior Management Accountant in the team, managing ad hoc queries and ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Support a range of finance and business improvement initiatives, including project work and other ad hoc activities as directed by the Financial Controller and SVP Finance for Infosum.

This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, audit and business partnering, providing an excellent opportunity to develop within a fast-paced, global organisation.

What you'll need:

  • CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse, manipulate and present financial data effectively.
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities, manage competing demands and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the confidence to build relationships across a range of teams and seniority levels.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic and positive approach, with a willingness to take ownership and drive results.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience working with Xero accounting software.
  • Experience using BFC (Business Financial Consolidation) or similar group reporting systems.
