Head of Insurance Placement & Operations - Europe

As Head of Insurance Placement & Operations (Europe), you will take full ownership of Wrisk’s insurance capacity network, product delivery, and portfolio management across European markets.

Operating from our Munich office, you sit at the vital intersection of insurer placement insurance product performance, operational execution, and partner management. You will serve as the primary bridge between leading European insurance capacity providers and our internal teams—driving product deployment for flagship OEM clients, shaping market-entry strategies, and optimizing portfolio performance across target territories.

• European Motor Insurance Expertise: You bring 4+ years in the insurance brokerage or intermediation space, with a deep understanding of European motor and P&C insurance dynamics
• Master Negotiator & Partner Builder: You have a proven track record of securing and managing capacity with major European insurers, bringing the credibility needed to build long-term, high-trust relationships
• Commercial & Technical Blend: You combine operational execution with strong commercial acumen, comfortable discussing actuarial principles, risk performance, and underwriting mechanics with capacity partners
• Cross-Functional Collaborator: You thrive in fast-paced tech/InsurTech environments, seamlessly translating insurer requirements to Product, Technology, Key Account Management, and Risk teams
• Multilingual Communicator: You possess fluent/business-level English and German communication skills (additional European languages like French, Italian, or Spanish are a strong plus)
• Qualified: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Insurance Management, or a related field.

• Robust Capacity Pipeline: You successfully identify, negotiate with, and onboard regional capacity providers to support Wrisk’s rapid expansion into new European territories and OEM initiatives
• Flawless Product Execution & Performance: You oversee the smooth operational rollout of motor products while continuously monitoring portfolio health, claims trends, and underwriting profitability—taking proactive steps to ensure long-term partner satisfaction
• Strategic Influence: You act as Wrisk’s internal SME on European market trends and regulatory nuances, actively shaping our product roadmap and strategic direction through insurer-driven insights
