Reporting to the Mill Supervisor the successful candidate will work a 14 &14 rotation. The role is comprised of working in a small team operating load haul and dump equipment along with operating crushing equipment consisting of jaw and cone crusher along with the associated conveyor belts and screen.

About the Candidate:

• Minimum 3 years experience with heavy equipment and crushing operation.
• Working independently and with a team to accomplish the site goals
• Effective communication skills such as the use of written log sheets/reports, use of two-way radios and visual cues.
• Possess the physical requirements to perform the job.
• Some physically demanding labour including lifting up to fifty pounds, shovelling, and other laborious tasks.
• Required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs & ladders, work on elevated platforms and possibly confined spaces.
• Ability to work safely and use all necessary safety equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow all safety regulations and procedures.
• Able to train on new equipment and procedures when required.
• Positive work ethic and a co operative interaction with co workers
• Possesses a level of mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to stop and critically think how to perform duties safely along with supporting others as well to accomplish tasks with zero harm.
• Maintains good housekeeping.
• Ability to work in a fast pace and on occasion stressful and hazardous environment.

About the Role:

This role is a key contributor in a fast-paced production environment within a 24/7, 365-day operation, working a 14-days-on/14-days-off rotation. While the position is currently scheduled for dayshift, nightshift operations may be introduced in the future. The successful candidate will operate a variety of equipment as part of their daily responsibilities and will not be assigned exclusively to a single piece of equipment. In addition, they will be expected to support the milling plant, site services, and other operational areas by performing additional tasks as required.

• Operating a variety of wheel loaders (CAT 950/ CAT 966)
• Operating articulated rock trucks (CAT 730)
• Operating excavators (CAT 336 / CAT 325)
• Operating Dozer(s) (CAT D8)
• Operating skid steers
• Operating jaw crusher in combination with cone crusher, screening and stacking safely producing appropriately sized feed for the West Red Lake Gold Madsen Mill feed.
• Assurance that equipment is operated in such a way as to avoid premature breakage from abuse or neglect.
• Ability to perform preoperational equipment inspections capturing deficiencies and reporting of
