Responsibilities

- →Works independently in a busy department and maintains quality imaging for research and clinical studies.
- →Performs PET scans on subjects enrolled by investigators and collaborators of the division of Radiological Sciences in an organized and timely fashion.
- →Renders appropriate patient care.
- →Monitors and performs preventive maintenance on tomography and relevant ancillary equipment to ensure operation in accordance with MIR and manufacturer’s guidelines.
- →Supervises scheduling of scanner time and coordinates scheduling of cyclotron bombardment for subjects to be imaged.
- →Purchases and manages supplies used in research imaging procedures, using Washington University Financial Information System in a timely and efficient manner.
- →Ensures laboratory and work area comply with MIR health and safety policies and procedures with no violations.
- Laboratory environment with exposure to strong magnetic fields, radiation, fumes, and odors.
- Must possess finger and manual dexterity and lift 50 lbs. and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must possess visual acuity, depth perception and color vision to perform laboratory operations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
