Under the direction of a licensed psychologist, provides assessment, therapy and intervention to children, adults and their families. Performs related duties as required in the internship training manual. Incumbents in this class series provide similar patient services. Clinical Psychology Predoctoral Intern is the entry-level class. Interns, under functional supervision of a licensed psychologist, obtain the necessary experience toward completion of doctoral degrees in clinical and counseling psychology.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current Licensed Psychologist-Supervised from the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Psychologists

1. May be exposed to traumatic situations including psychiatric crisis, physical injuries, and death.

2. Able to ambulate, position, turn and pull up self-assisting adult patients.

3. Communicate verbally, written and electronically with healthcare personnel, families, and patients.

4. Answer telephones and transcribe messages.

5. Use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse.
