About the Role

Collaborates with Surgical Services Manager for quality of care relative to specialty area. Collaborates with Clinical Educator to ensure active competent team members. Leads SPD team in providing prompt, accurate service, provide supplies of sterile linen packs, basins, instrument trays, and other sterile items. Assists Surgical Services Management Team by maintaining accurate records related to cleaning, disinfection, and the sterilization process.

4. Possess the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guest.

5. Able to function as a part of a team as well as independently.

6. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize time and tasks to achieve a well-coordinated work effort.

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
EXPERIENCE:
1. One (1) experience as a Central Service or Sterile Processing Technician 

1. Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course.

1. Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards.  Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.
