Performs diagnostic sleep studies related to the evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: 

WV:  Licensed Respiratory Therapist Certified (LRTC) through the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care 

2. Certification as a Certified Polysomnographic Technologist (CPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists OR Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) through American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) within two (2) years of hire.

3. Certification in one of the following through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC): 

  • Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) 

  • Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) 

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) 

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)  ​

4. Certification in CPR.
EXPERIENCE:
1. One (1) year of Polysomnographic experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Current certification as a Certified Polysomnographic Technologist. (CPSGT)
2. Clinical Sleep Educator Certificate from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
EXPERIENCE:
1. One (1) year of Sleep Study scoring experience.
