DAI seeks to identify experts with relevant technical expertise in the areas listed below to join our roster ahead of anticipated projects These experts will be deployed to work on demand-driven short-term assignments providing due diligence, program oversight activities, and technical advisory support to large-scale infrastructure and investment projects in the energy, transportation, and water sectors funded by US Government agencies and other multilateral institutions. 

We invite CVs from highly qualified candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Reviewing Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs), Resettlement Policy Frameworks, etc. for compliance with IFC Performance Standards 5 and 8,and other Environmental Guidelines;
  • Advising on resettlement risk mitigation strategies and livelihood restoration approaches;
  • Providing oversight of resettlement implementation, including compensation payments, relocation activities, and livelihood restoration programs; and
  • Supporting the development of grievance redress mechanisms for project-affected persons.

Social Analysis, Gender, and Inclusion and Empowerment:

  • Advising on gender-responsive project design, risk mitigation strategies, and approaches to promote women's economic empowerment;
  • Supporting the integration of social inclusion considerations into stakeholder engagement plans and community consultation processes; and
  • Providing technical guidance and capacity building on social inclusion to agency counterparts and implementing entities.

In general, experts should have at least 12+ years of professional experience in one or more of the areas listed above, an advanced degree, and demonstrated experience working on similar assignments for relevant agencies, such as the Millenium Challenge Corporation, Development Finance Corporation, World Bank, International Finance Corporation, and other relevant agencies. Experts should have experience reviewing the technical components of ESIA’s, ESMPs, RAPs, and other documents in their area(s) of expertise in compliance with established performance standards and accepted international best practices.
