Analytics Engineer

As an Analytics Engineer, you are the one who converts raw data into something the business can actually work with. You will work in a team of five data specialists and maintain continuous contact with colleagues from the business to understand their information needs and translate them into concrete data products.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

· Contributing ideas regarding architectural coherence and identifying technical debt

· Designing and building data transformations that convert raw data into usable datasets and reports

· Translating business requirements into technical data products in collaboration with the Data Stewards from the domains

· Building reports and analytical datasets that assist in operational and strategic decision-making within ZLM

· Temporarily fulfilling a steward role for departments that have not yet appointed their own Data Steward, acting as the bridge between that department and the data platform

· Documenting what you build in a way that is understandable to both fellow engineers and business users

· Working in an agile team where shared quality and delivery come first

✅ You are trained as a data analyst, scientist, or engineer but have a deep interest in data modeling and software engineering best practices.
✅ You are a jack-of-all-trades, who wants to become a true authority in the field by learning new skills and trying out the latest data tools.
✅ You have excellent communication skills, are interested in learning about the whole data cycle, can write efficient SQL queries, have hands-on experience with Python, Dbt, and cloud platforms, and you stand out for your expertise in one or more areas of analytics engineering.
