IT Lab Technician

Catalyx is seeking an L2 Lab Technician with a strong IT background to provide technical support for laboratory systems, equipment, software, and users. This role will focus on keeping laboratory technology reliable and operational, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and hands-on support in the lab rather than manufacturing environments. Responsibilities · Provide L2 technical support for laboratory IT systems, equipment, and applications. · Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and system issues within the lab. · Support laboratory instruments and their connections to computers, networks, and other systems. · Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot lab-related technology. · Work directly with laboratory users to diagnose and resolve technical issues. · Assist with user accounts, system access, software, and endpoint support as needed. · Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, configurations, and resolutions. · Collaborate with laboratory, IT, engineering, and other technical teams. · Escalate complex technical issues and assist with root-cause analysis. Requirements · 2+ years of IT support or technical support experience. · Strong hands-on experience with IT systems, hardware, software, and troubleshooting. · Experience supporting technology within a laboratory, research, or scientific environment preferred. · Familiarity with computers, networks, connectivity, and laboratory equipment. · Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work directly with laboratory users and technical teams. · Strong communication and documentation skills. · Comfortable working in an L2 support capacity and handling issues independently.
