KEMET Electronics / YAGEO Group is seeking a Director, AI Segment in Milpitas, California and lead the strategy and growth of our AI infrastructure segment across strategic customers, applications, technologies, and regions. This is an onsite position in our Milpitas, CA office. This role owns segment revenue growth, share expansion, pipeline quality, and strategic priorities while driving engagement across hyperscalers, AI compute companies, networking leaders, and semiconductor and platform partners.

Working across customer engineering teams, YAGEO business units, and global cross-functional organizations, you will translate AI architecture and technology roadmaps into actionable product-development priorities and scalable Total Solution opportunities. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, commercial discipline, and the ability to align global teams around emerging AI infrastructure requirements, including power delivery, high-speed networking, integrated magnetics, and advanced component technologies. 

Key Responsibilities

•  Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy across strategic AI infrastructure customers, applications, technologies, and regions. Own segment revenue growth, share expansion, pipeline quality, and strategic priorities. 
•  Coordinate strategy across hyperscalers, AI compute companies, networking leaders, and associated semiconductor/platform partners. Establish account priorities, whitespace opportunities, and resource allocation. 
•  Translate customer architecture and technology roadmaps into actionable YAGEO product-development priorities, including AI compute power delivery, 48V/400V/800V architectures, VPD, integrated magnetics, high-capacitance MLCC, high-speed networking, and optical interconnect. 
•  Build and lead the Technical Sales/FAE capability required to engage customers at architecture and system level, including power architecture, component selection, thermal performance, EMI, reliability, and qualification requirements. 
•  Bring customer requirements and competitive gaps directly into PBU technology planning. Drive decisions on development priorities, engineering resources, sample timing, qualification schedules, and required technology investments. 
•  Manage the segment funnel from architecture engagement through NBO/RFQ, qualification, design win, and mass production. Implement Design Code and Power BI tracking for strategic programs, especially custom inductors, transformers, and high-value technologies. 
•  Build relationships with senior engineering, sourcing, supply-chain, and business leaders. Lead executive reviews, technology workshops, QBRs, and strategic roadmap discussions. 
•  Recruit, coach, and develop segment, Technical Sales, and FAE talent. Build a scalable operating model with clear accountability and measurable execution. 

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. 
• Experience with AI servers, accelerated computing, cloud infrastructure, data-center networking, power delivery, passive components, magnetics, or related technologies. 
• Established experience working with leading ODM/EMS partners and global manufacturing ecosystems. 
• Experience selling and coordinating solutions across multiple product lines or business units. 
•   8+ years of experience in the electronics, semiconductor, power electronics, or electronic components industry, including at least 5 years in strategic or global account management. 
• Proven success managing a Tier-1 global OEM, cloud service provider, AI/high-performance computing customer, networking customer, or other complex global technology account. 
•  Demonstrated record of securing design wins, growing multi-million-dollar business, and influencing stakeholders within matrixed global organizations. 
• Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, and QBR leadership skills. 
• Technical fluency sufficient to discuss customer architecture, product roadmaps, qualification requirements, and system-level value with engineering and business stakeholders.
