Job Description
The Master Fitter is responsible for delivering a premium, personalised customer experience by combining expert golf club fitting services with exceptional retail and sales support. This role plays a key part in driving business growth through lead generation, relationship building, event execution, and proactive customer outreach. The ideal candidate will be a confident, motivated individual with a passion for golf, a strong sales mindset, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Sales:
- Greet and engage clients as a brand ambassador, providing knowledgeable guidance on PXG products, pricing, technology, and styling.
- Build, cultivate, and maintain meaningful long-term relationships with clients to foster brand loyalty and repeat business.
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets through expert product knowledge and consultative selling techniques.
- Proactively follow up on customer orders, satisfaction, and interest in upcoming promotions or events.
- Deliver exceptional service across both in-store and off-site touchpoints.
Custom Club Fitting:
- Provide best-in-class, data-driven custom fittings to ensure clients are matched with the optimal equipment for their game.
- Maintain a deep understanding of PXG technology, fitting methodology, and product specifications.
- Gather and input fitting data accurately and send follow-up materials such as spec sheets and Trackman reports post-fitting.
- Schedule and manage fitting appointments while supporting the fitting team through effective pre- and post-session communication.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Management:
- Proactively fill fitting bays through a multi-channel lead generation approach:
- Positively promote and drive the Introducer Program, keeping Tracker up to date, maintaining regular call cycles with open Introducer accounts.
- Generate event-based leads and secure fitting bookings via on-site and off-site events, demo days, and golf activations.
- Conduct active outreach to past customers for re-engagement, spec checks, and promotions.
- Monitor and manage lead conversion metrics, ensuring follow-through on all incoming and self-generated leads.
Sales Administration & Outreach:
- Execute the full sales admin process with attention to detail:
- Conduct pre-arrival calls to confirm appointments and gather necessary customer background.
- Send post-fitting communications, including spec sheets and Trackman data.
- Follow up with unconverted leads and maintain an ongoing cycle of outreach to previous customers.
- Proactively invite customers back for spec checks, new product releases, and loyalty events.
- Ensure customer data is accurately recorded and maintained for future interactions and marketing initiatives.
Operational & Retail Support:
- Process customer transactions, including payments, refunds, and special orders with accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain clean, organised fitting and retail areas, replenish merchandise, and communicate inventory needs to management.
- Maintain clean, refill and communicate inventory needs to management regarding the coffee machine weekly. Empty and clean the waste tray daily. Fill and date sheet accurately in line with health and safety process.
- Handle all aspects of shipping, receiving, tagging, and inventory transfers.
- Assist with regularly scheduled inventory counts and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Answer inbound calls and manage front desk responsibilities as needed.
Mobile Fitting, Events & Territory Activity:
- Plan and deliver mobile demo and fitting events at green-grass locations, including golf clubs and partner facilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with golf clubs and facilities to support ongoing engagement and brand presence.
- Identify opportunities to onboard new green-grass accounts within the territory.
- Develop and manage a defined sub-sector of the territory, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned partners.
- Drive product education, engagement and sales through high-quality fitting experiences delivered on-site.
- Support wider event execution and outreach activity as part of the mobile fitting programme.
Team Collaboration & Performance:
- Work closely with the retail and fitting team to manage schedules efficiently and maximise revenue.
- Share fitting insights, customer feedback, and event outcomes with colleagues to foster a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
- Uphold a positive, can-do attitude and support continuous personal and team development.
Experience and Education Required:
- Prior experience in golf, retail sales, or customer service required; custom fitting experience highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close sales, and manage a client base effectively.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with fitting software, CRM systems, and Trackman (or similar technology) preferred.
- Passion for golf and delivering industry-leading customer experiences.

Hourly Rate: £15.50 | OTE: £45,000–£50,000
This role operates on a rota basis and includes regular weekend working.
You must have a full UK driving licence.
