Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree or two years of related knowledge and experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of basic health and fitness principles and components, exercise prescriptions, and strength training machines.
- Ability to set an excellent example in health, fitness, and member service.
- Experience coaching and/or teaching group exercise classes (preferred).
- YMCA Foundations of Strength and Conditioning and/or Foundations of Group Exercise certification, or equivalent certification (such as ACE, ACSM, or AFAA) (preferred).
- Positive attitude with experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
- Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Responsibilities

- →Teach and demonstrate proper form and technique
- →Assist with personalized workout routines
- →Ensure established safety guidelines are followed
