→High school graduate or equivalent required
→Must be at least 20 years of age.
→Currently hold or willing to obtain CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, Oxygen and YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguarding certifications.
→Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment.
→Positive attitude and previous experience with and diverse populations.
→Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment and decision making skills.
→Relevant knowledge and experience, especially in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity is preferred.
→Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
→Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
→Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

→Supervise YMCA facilities, staff, members, and guests in the absence of management, ensuring compliance with the YMCA Code of Conduct.
→Provide required meal and rest breaks for staff, including lifeguards.
→Respond to emergencies, accidents, incidents, and behavioral concerns, following established crisis and emergency procedures and completing required documentation.
→Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, security, and a positive member experience.
→Open and/or close the facility according to established procedures, ensuring the building is secure.
→Report incidents, behavioral concerns, hazardous conditions, and maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
→Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting members and guests, answering questions, and providing facility tours.
→Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and equitable environment for members, guests, volunteers, and staff.
