Responsibilities

  • →Minimum of 15 years of age or older.
  • →Six months or more of related experience (preferred).
  • →The ability to instruct participants in techniques.
  • →CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred).
  • →Positive attitude.
  • →Knowledge and skills in programming, activities, and sports.
  • →Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
  • →Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • →Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • →Teach the basics of Taekwondo including stances, blocks, basic kicks, strikes, forms, balance, coordination, and beginner self-defense concepts.
  • →Lead structured classes that support skill progression for beginners of varying ages.
  • →Maintain a safe class environment by teaching proper technique and supervising all activities.
  • →Encourage positive participation, cooperation and exemplify our core values.
  • →Assist in creating age appropriate lesson plans to ensure fun, high-energy classes.
  • →Work alongside volunteers to assist with programming.
  • →Track program attendance.
