About Zafin:
Zafin is a global leader in SaaS cloud-native products for financial services, helping banks deliver personalized, profitable client experiences at scale. We are seeking a Research Analyst to join our Market Intelligence team in Trivandrum/Chennai, India. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional with experience in quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, particularly within the consulting/financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis:

Market Research & Analysis: Conduct detailed market research using primary and secondary sources and provide analysis to support strategic decision-making and launch of new products across various geographies

Data Analysis & Validation:

Analyse and validate data for key global product offerings/platform, working closely with Product and AI/Analytics teams across regions. Identify variances and apply relevant data guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of data

Identify discrepancies and variances in captured data values.

Apply data guidelines to filter relevant data changes and ensure consistency across datasets.

Utilise web scraping tools to capture and review relevant and available public data

Conduct regular data audits to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance of data.

Technical Skills:

Understanding of Emerging Technology and Industry 4.0

Banking Industry Knowledge: A good understanding of the banking industry and basic knowledge of banking products will be a plus.

SQL Proficiency: Experience with SQL querying for data analysis.

Excel & PowerPoint: Strong proficiency in Excel (Lookups, Pivot, etc) and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.

AI Tools: Ability to work with AI tools to enhance data analysis and workflow efficiency

Soft Skills:

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy.

Data Management: Ability to manage and analyse large datasets effectively.

Process-Oriented: A process-oriented mindset with a focus on optimizing workflows and improving operational efficiency.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors/master's in finance/economics/business/ engineering, or a related field (BA/B.Sc/B.Tech). An MBA from a premier university is a plus.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience as an analyst, preferably within a Big Four/Strategy Consulting/Market Research firm. Experience in the banking or financial services industry is an advantage.
