JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-125522 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Booneville, Mississippi Coverage Period: May 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour coverage Hours Per Shift: 24 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 38 patients per day Case Mix: Medium acuity, consistent with emergency medicine FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 10 ED beds Trauma Level: Level IV EMR System: Epic with Dragon dictation JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or Board Certified in EM, IM, or FM Licenses: Active MS state license; active DEA with MS address; CDS if required DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS as required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required (if not ABEM board certified) Experience: Residency trained; case logs for past 2 years required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED. Perform thorough medical evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging. Coordinate patient care with specialist backup and hospital staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR.
