Data Scientist

Ardent is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team.  

This is a remote position.

Ardent is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support data-driven initiatives within a federal environment. This role will focus on applying advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and data science techniques to complex business and operational challenges.

• →Provide subject matter expertise supporting data science, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
• →Support analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• →Provide recommendations regarding analytical methods, statistical models, and data-driven solutions.
• →Support data preparation, transformation, modeling, and visualization activities.
• →Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to define analytical requirements and support program objectives.
• →Support development of dashboards, reports, technical documentation, and analytical deliverables.
• →Provide guidance on data quality, analytical methodologies, and data science best practices.
• →Contribute to modernization and continuous improvement efforts involving data, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• →Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• →Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology, data analytics, data science, or related technical environments.
• →Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting enterprise-scale data, analytics, or technology initiatives.
• →Demonstrated experience performing statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, or other advanced analytical work.
• →Experience working with large, complex, and/or disparate datasets.
• →Proficiency with data analysis and programming tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies.
• →Experience with data visualization and communicating analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• →Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• →Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex analytical concepts clearly.
• →Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, business, and program teams in a federal environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• →Experience supporting federal government programs or mission environments.
• →Experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytical environments.
• →Experience developing or implementing machine learning models in operational or production environments.
• →Familiarity with AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or other advanced analytics techniques.
• →Experience with data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management practices.
