As a member of our network, you will be matched with opportunities to teach Creative Arts and Crafts to K-12 students at schools, buildings, and communities across NYC boroughs. We are specifically looking for those who reside in the Bronx, Riverdale, Yonkers area as many of our key school partners are located there. These teaching opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks.

As an after school instructor, you'll have the following responsibilities:

Develop age-appropriate Creative Arts/Crafts curriculum for after-school students (we have Sewing, Painting, Pottery, Crafting, Embroidery, Illustration, and many more courses!)

Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise

Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged

Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels

Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment

Track student growth and offer positive, helpful feedback

Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach

Create a memorable experience for the children in your class

A fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor, with experience teaching school age children, and who:

Has subject matter expertise in Creative Arts
Has a passion and skill for building hands-on projects with kids
Has excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
Knows how to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
Is cooperative, supportive, flexible
Is dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy … and also appreciates support and clear expectations

Provide a resume showcasing relevant teaching experience AND experience in your craft/subject area.
If you lack formal teaching experience, please share any other relevant experience or training in the application questionnaire

If your resume is a fit, we’ll reach out to set up a screening call on Google Meet
You will be assessed on teaching experience, expertise in your craft/subject area, punctuality, and reliability
The final step of the process is onboarding into our platform, ready to accept classes.
All instructors must complete and pass a background check and state-specific clearances requirements in order to work with children.
