Payroll Practitioner II

• →Prepare and process biweekly, multi-state payroll for more than 9,000 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• →Audit payroll data for accuracy including timekeeping records, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
• →Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure proper documentation for all payroll related transactions.
• →Inspect automated payroll system outputs such as payroll registers to verify accuracy.
• →Process off-cycle payments, including terminations and retroactive payments, as needed.
• →Oversee daily mail distribution.
• →Support internal and external audit activities by gathering required payroll documentation including employee pay slips, payroll records, etc.
• →Research and resolve all payroll discrepancies and payroll related inquiries in a timely manner.
• →Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and CCM policies.
• →Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• FPC or CPP Designation, preferred. 
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume, multistate environment.
• Experience with Workday Payroll, preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll rules and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Skilled at prioritizing tasks and multitasking effectively.
• Skilled at maintaining flexibility and productivity while managing frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
