Martin North Hospital's Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) provides 24/7 care for critically ill patients. It has a shared governance professional practice model that allows for multidisciplinary team collaboration, working on solutions to best innovate, improve and advance their mission. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will be a patient advocate and provide expert care in critical situations. You will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, helping enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including advanced clinical training, certifications, educational programs, and more. You may also float to other Martin locations, creating another avenue through which to develop knowledge within various units.

Requirements

Full range of body motion for handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
Standing and walking for extended periods of time
Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Physical Demand requirements in excess of those for Light Work

Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
