Personal Injury Paralegal

We are seeing an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all phases of case workups including pre-litigation and litigation. Successful candidates will be proficient in legal software, have excellent communication skills and have a knack for time management.  

• →Support attorneys in all aspects of litigation from filing of complaint through trial and post-trial
• →Draft, prepare, and file legal documents, including:
  • →Complaints, answers, and motions
  • →Discovery requests and responses (interrogatories, requests for production, etc.)
  • →Subpoenas and deposition notices
• →Manage and track litigation deadlines in accordance with Connecticut court rules
• →Coordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearances
• →Review, analyze, and summarize medical records, expert reports, and discovery materials
• →Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses
• →Assist with trial preparation, including:
  • →Exhibit preparation and organization
  • →Trial binders and materials
  • →Witness coordination
• →Maintain accurate and organized case files within Litify
• →E-file documents in Connecticut state and federal courts

• Bachelor’s degree 
• 5+ years of experience in Personal Injury 
• Proficiency in legal software and legal databases (Litify, eCourts, etc.) 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to ethical standards. 
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies. 
• Relevant understanding of legal research methodologies. 
• Relevant certifications or licenses related to paralegal studies preferred.
