Registered Nurse - Pre Admission Testing - Days - Days

Conducts patient interview via telephone prior to scheduled surgeries to obtain and share procedural information and directions

Provides patient education via telephone related to upcoming surgery

Informs patient of pre-anesthetic evaluation process

Collaborates closely with the Anesthesia provider team

Ensures required pre-surgical testing is completed prior to patient surgical appointment

Integrates research findings into nursing practice

Works cohesively with related nursing areas prior to surgical procedure

Maintains knowledge of nursing procedures specific to different service lines

Maintains knowledge and competency reflective of current standards of nursing practice.

Promotes hospital quality improvement goals.

 Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit

Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care

Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care

Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
