JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: L-MD-55636 Profession: Physician Specialty: Laborist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Modesto, CA Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Dec 01, 2026 – Ongoing Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:4 Call Back: 25 % Call Response Time: 7 minutes Reason for Coverage: Scheduling Need PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 10-15 Annual Deliveries: Ave. of 150 Admissions Required: Yes FACILITY INFORMATION EMR: Cerner Support Staff: MAs: 2, Office Staff: 20 REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Low risk pregnancy FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation Level I/Screening (viability) Routine delivery Vaginal Low forceps Decision-making for c-section Complicated delivery C-section Breech Abruptions Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. Surgical gynecology - Open Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's Preferred High risk pregnancy Level II/Targeted (anatomic) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC in OBGYN Licensed in CA Certifications: BLS, PALS Must be able to provide 100 case logs Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients, including low- and high-risk pregnancies. Manage labor and delivery, perform routine and complicated deliveries, and make decisions for cesarean sections. Perform surgical gynecologic procedures including open, laparoscopic, and operative interventions as needed. Provide on-call coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies, with a 7-minute response time. Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Cerner EMR, and comply with hospital policies (scrubs, nail policy).
