Accounting Manager - Contractor

What We Need Corpay is currently looking to hire an Accounting Manager (Contractor) within our accounting division. This position falls under our Prepaid line of business. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, executing and maintaining best in class accounting principles, practices and procedures, thus ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial statements. You will report directly to the Director of Accounting and regularly collaborate with multiple departments. How We Work As an Accounting Manager, Corpay will set you up for success by providing: Company-issued equipment Formal, hands-on training Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include: •         Provide support to independent accounting firms of US and various foreign legal entities, to enable completion of annual audits, tax filings and compliance reporting. •         Conduct gap analysis and recommend specific actions/controls to address gaps in procedures and/or processes. •         Supports the Vice President of Accounting on a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, reconciliation preparation & review, financial reporting and compliance with internal controls. Must be able to deliver reliable, accurate results under tight deadlines. •         Assists the team to ensure accurate and timely client billing, vendor payments, monthly, quarterly and year end close is completed. Ensure the appropriate reporting of all monthly financial information to critical stakeholders and Senior Leaders. •         Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. •         Ensure large and complex transactions are accurately processed with adherence to outlined company financial policies and procedures. •         Responsible for keeping updated standard operating procedures for the department and continual process improvement. Responsible for cross-training users for business continuity purposes. Executes key operational objectives and initiatives to improve the overall efficiency of the operations. •         Ad hoc reporting, analysis and special projects as required. Compile data for internal and external audits as well as requests for data from other departments.   Qualifications & Skills •         Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline required. CPA preferred. •         3+ years of relevant accounting or auditing experience with demonstrated proficiency in increasing levels of responsibility. •         Corporate or public financial audit experience required. •         Strong leadership skills with dedication to driving and achieving results. •         Strong level of personal organization with excellent oral/written communication skills. •         Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and efficiently. •         Ability to accurately research and follow through on complex problem-solving items, as well as initiate resolutions with minimal guidance. •         Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment and work effortlessly with all levels of the organization. •         Highly motivated and can function independently and within a team. •         Commitment to continuous operational improvement. •         Must have ability to train, manage and direct employees or external foreign professional consultants. •         To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience Microsoft Dynamics 365, or other large, automated accounting system is a plus. Industry knowledge is also helpful.   #LI-Corpay
