We seek an experienced Mobile Engineer with a strong background in building comprehensive user solutions and mobile infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of mobile development experience, with recent work in Kotlin Multiplatform. We will prioritize candidates who have built a KMP app from scratch or who have meaningfully contributed to a production app.

You will lead large-scale projects for our app for EBT shoppers, which allows them to check their SNAP balance, collect rewards and more. You will ship critical projects and establish best practices for mobile development for the team. Your role will include improving mobile infrastructure and tooling, balancing business priorities with user experience and technical sustainability, and influencing our technical vision.

Collaboration is key; you will partner closely with product managers to prioritize a long product feature list.

Requirements

5+ years of mobile engineering experience building end-to-end user solutions
Experience in Kotlin Multiplatform, especially having built an app from scratch
Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives within your team, mentoring engineers through design and delivery, contributing meaningfully to roadmap discussions, and independently driving complex projects from design through execution

→Influence mobile development at Forage by sharing technical vision and providing guidance

→Mentor teammates and others around mobile best practices

This role is Hybrid in New York. We define hybrid as 2-3 days in office.

Your base salary would fall within the bands below.

Competitive Compensation:
- Senior Mobile Engineer: $185k-$200k base
- Please keep in mind that the equity portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a significant part of your total compensation.
