Dental Assistant – Southern Oral Surgery

Southern Oral Surgery is a busy, patient-focused oral surgery practice, we are looking for an experienced chairside dental assistant who is interested in a surgical assistant role. This position supports our oral surgeons during procedures and helps ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. The role will work across both our Fayetteville and Griffin offices:

Key qualifications:

• Experience as a chairside dental assistant
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong team player who works well with providers and front and back office staff
• Comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment, staying calm under pressure and anticipating the surgeon's needs
• Knowledge of sterilization, OSHA, and infection control standards
• Strong patient communication skills, including reassuring anxious patients and reviewing post-op instructions
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work between the Fayetteville and Griffin offices

Preferred:

• Experience assisting with sedation or anesthesia (nitrous oxide or IV), including patient monitoring
• Familiarity with surgical setups for extractions, implants, and bone grafts
• Radiography credentials as required by the Georgia Board of Dentistry
• Experience with CBCT or panoramic imaging
• Willingness to learn and grow into a surgical assisting role, with training provided

Compensation:

• Hourly pay based on experience (23-25/hr)
• Full time benefits include medical, vision, dental, disability, uniform allowance, and time off

Full-Time Schedule

• Monday -Thursday 8:30-4:00
