The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on digital marketer to plan and execute campaigns that attract, convert, and retain customers across B2B (shops, merchants, partners) and B2C (drivers). Email is the primary channel, supported by text, social media, web, and other digital channels. You’ll help plan, write, build, launch, test, and report on campaigns, then use the results to make data-driven recommendations that improve future strategy. You’ll partner with the Director of Marketing as well as the Marketing team, Product Owners / Business Unit Leads, and the Head of Tech Innovation / MarTech.

This is an entry-level role for a self-starter who can take a brief and run with it, and who uses AI to work faster and build smarter processes.

What You’ll Do

Planning

  • Build and support the B2B and B2C campaign calendar aligned to product launches and business unit goals
  • Turn stakeholder requests into campaign plans with clear audiences, goals, and KPIs
  • Research target segments and define the right audiences for each campaign
  • Build and optimize marketing campaigns across the customer lifecycle: awareness, conversion, onboarding, engagement, retention, and win-back

Creative & Copy

  • Write subject lines, preheaders, body copy, and CTAs in the 1stMILE brand voice
  • Design and build responsive emails using brand templates and guidelines
  • Adapt campaign content for social channels and other channels outside email as needed
  • Create content that retains customers, builds trust, and strengthens long-term relationships

Execution & Operations

  • Build, QA, and deploy campaigns and automated journeys in our email service provider (ESP)
  • Manage email lists, segmentation, list hygiene, suppression, and deliverability basics
  • Coordinate with MarTech team on tracking, data, and integrations
  • Follow email and text compliance requirements (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, consent) and 1stMILE data-handling policies

Testing & Measurement

  • Set campaign goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, send times, and offers
  • Compile and report results across channels and recommend data-driven improvements
  • Use web analytics to track traffic, user behavior, and campaign attribution to the 1stMILE website
  • Apply SEO basics to landing pages and web content to drive qualified traffic

Social Support

  • Assist with social media content planning, scheduling, and posting as needed
  • Support integrated campaigns across email, social, and web as needed

AI & Automation

  • Use AI tools to draft and iterate copy, develop creative concepts, and produce assets faster
  • Build AI-assisted workflows, templates, and prompts that streamline campaign planning, production, QA, and reporting
  • Use AI to support analysis, including segmentation ideas, test hypotheses, and performance insights
  • Document repeatable processes and share AI best practices with the team
  • Use AI responsibly: only approved tools, human review before anything ships, and full adherence to brand standards and 1stMILE data-handling policies

What You Bring

  • 0–2 years of related experience in digital, email, or campaign marketing (internships and freelance work count), B2B and/or B2C
  • Self-starter who can manage campaigns from start to finish with growing independence
  • Strong copywriting skills and design ability (Figma, Canva, Claude Design, or similar)
  • Comfort with A/B testing, campaign metrics, and reporting
  • Organized, self-directed, and able to juggle multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Comfort using AI tools (such as Claude, Copilot, or similar) in day-to-day marketing work, from copy and creative to process building
  • Curious and quick to adopt new tools, with the judgment to know when AI output needs a human touch

Nice to Have

  • Experience with an email service provider (ESP) or marketing automation platform, such as HubSpot, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Iterable, or similar preferred, not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred, not required
  • Fintech, payments, or automotive experience
  • SMS or push campaign experience
  • Social scheduling tool experience (Sprout, Hootsuite, or native platforms)
  • Web analytics (such as Google Analytics) and SEO basics
  • Basic HTML/CSS for email
  • Experience building automations or AI agents (custom GPTs, Claude Projects, or similar)

What Success Looks Like (Year 1)

  • 60 days: Ramped on platforms and brand; running first campaigns independently
  • 6 months: Consistent testing cadence, performance reporting, and AI-assisted production workflows in place
  • 12 months: Measurable lift in engagement and conversion across B2B and B2C

Benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, PTO, 401k, and paid holidays.
