Equipment Operator

Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to support daily landfill, transfer station, or site operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining site productivity while ensuring compliance with company safety and environmental standards.

• →Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, compactors, loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and other site equipment.
• →Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
• →Maintain proper operation of equipment to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• →Assist with site maintenance, grading, earthmoving, and material handling activities.
• →Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
• →Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
• →Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete daily operational goals.
• →Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• →Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
