Registered Nurse (PRN), Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing, Weekend Coverage - VUH

WOCN

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of ostomy care for patients; functions as a consultant for patients with draining wounds, fistulas, pressure sores, skin problems, and incontinence; develop nursing staff skills in ostomy; wound and skin care for optimal patient care. Responsible for coordinating a comprehensive program for the nursing care, education and rehabilitation of patients requiring wound, ostomy, and incontinence care.

• WOC certification required
• Approximately 5 years of relevant nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge of wound, ostomy, and continence care
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary care teams
• Availability to meet the required weekend coverage schedule
