Quick Summary
Job Description SummaryThe Engineering Services Team operates globally, providing remote support to field services personnel to uphold top-tier performance for GE's Solar and Storage Solutions assets.
About the Role
~1 min readThe Controls Engineer sits within the Reliability and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) team, with a primary focus on inverter controls troubleshooting and a growing emphasis on BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) unit and plant control support as new BESS sites come online. This role drives excellence in the functionality, reliability, and efficiency of inverters and BESS systems, integrating them effectively with other systems and aligning with both industry standards and GE's operational objectives. In addition to troubleshooting inverter and BESS-related issues, the engineer actively participates in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) — often working through issue tickets and bug fixes as first-line troubleshooting — and contributes to Change-Modification-Upgrades (CMUs) aimed at enhancing system performance and functionality.
