Abby Care is at a significant inflection point, having recently raised our Series C, and backed by a robust team of investors to include Transformation Capital, CVS Ventures, Sequoia, Khosla and Thrive, we’re poised to reimagine how care is delivered at home - leveraging trust, transparency and quality. As the Chief of Staff, you’ll report into the CEO and work closely with the senior leadership team to drive high-impact strategic initiatives and operational rigor across the company. We’re looking for an ambitious, sharp, and organized executor to act as a force multiplier for the founder and CEO. You’ll have significant exposure to executive decision-making, helping shape company-wide goals, executing on strategic roadmaps, and project managing board and investor relations processes. You’ll improve the company’s operating systems to maximize efficiency in company-wide meetings, lead impact special projects, and collaborate directly with department leaders to ensure alignment and progress on priorities.

Nuanced and highly strategic, you understand the complexities of a business that has a variety of equally critical stakeholders. Honesty and integrity are your hallmarks - relationship building is at the foundation of your success and you take pride in your ability to communicate effectively across all teams and levels in the organization. Astute, you understand how to navigate the business as a direct representative of your founder and CEO, and reflect that in your output and your interpersonal interactions. You move quickly when appropriate, but know when to pause and reflect, weighing implications and tradeoffs of business critical decisions. If you are excited about the opportunity to have a material, tangible impact on an organization that intends to define a new category of tech-enabled care, we’d love to hear from you.

This is an in-person role in San Francisco (4 days in office) and will require engagement on evenings and weekends as needed for the COS role.

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and refine Abby Care’s long-term corporate strategy

  • Lead high-impact special projects such as new lines of business, exec hiring, fundraising, and much more

  • Collaborate across departments to translate strategy into execution and ensure cross-functional alignment

  • Support strategic planning cycles and help define short and long-term company priorities

  • Translate strategy and department-level roadmaps and initiatives

  • Drive accountability and progress across teams through structured follow-ups and reporting

  • Project manage preparation for board meetings and investors updates

  • Support content creation for investor decks, KPI reports, and strategic narratives

  • Sit in board meetings to categorize follow-ups and action items

  • Continuously iterate on Abby Care’s operating systems, team workflows, and internal cadences such as preparing for All-Hands, running the weekly executive meetings, and more

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement systems that increase clarity, speed, and transparency for administrative and strategy workflows

  • Scale the CEO’s time by managing project load, drafting materials, and ensuring momentum across initiatives. Partner with Sr. Executive Assistant to make sure the CEO’s headspace and time are dedicated to the most important and highest potential initiatives for the company

  • Serve as a sounding board by offering input on priorities, tradeoffs, and framing of decisions

  • Manage the OCEO team and build playbooks for the administrative backbone

  • 6+ years of professional experience, ideally in management consulting, investment banking, or a similar analytical, high-accountability environment.

  • Experience at a high-growth startup is a plus. Experience scaling a company through a funding round or a major strategic shift is a strong plus.

  • Strong written communication. You can turn complex, messy inputs into clear memos, board materials, and executive updates with little editing.

  • Strong organization. You can manage many priorities at once, track cross-functional work to completion, and keep the CEO’s time pointed at what matters most.

  • Sound judgment and discretion. You handle confidential information well and know when to act and when to escalate.

  • Comfort with ambiguity. You can take an unstructured problem, define the scope, and drive it to a result without a playbook.

  • Strong analytical skills. You are comfortable building a model, reading a P&L, and pressure-testing a plan.

  • Executive presence. You can work credibly with the leadership team, board members, investors, and external partners.

  • A bias toward ownership. You follow through without needing to be asked twice.

  • Relentlessly Resourceful
As an ambitious startup, we adapt quickly and make the most of limited time and resources. We solve challenges with creativity to deliver results without unnecessary complexity.

  • Purpose with Positivity
We take our mission seriously while never losing sight of the people behind the work. Respect, kindness, memes, and coffee make us stronger as a team and better for the families we serve.

  • Driven to Redefine What’s Possible
We are here to make healthcare better, which means asking hard questions, challenging outdated systems, and finding smarter, more compassionate ways to deliver care.
