A loving, education-minded family in Aldie, Virginia, is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and proactive career nanny to join their household long-term! The family has two adorable boys, ages 6.5 months and 2.5 years, and is looking for someone who genuinely loves the infant and toddler stages and understands the importance of creating a stimulating, developmentally appropriate environment. The nanny's primary responsibility will be caring for their easygoing 6.5-month-old son, who is a wonderful sleeper and currently follows a consistent two-nap schedule. His older brother is intelligent, talkative, imaginative, affectionate, and playful, and the nanny will occasionally assist with his care as well. He attends preschool in the mornings, with Mom handling drop-off and pick-up, and typically spends his afternoons at home or enjoying outdoor activities. Mom is a stay-at-home parent who enjoys being involved with her children while also attending appointments and managing family responsibilities, and Dad works primarily from home. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working alongside involved parents, respecting established routines, and taking initiative without needing constant direction.  Education is incredibly important to this family, and they would love to find a nanny who is passionate about early childhood development and naturally incorporates learning into everyday experiences. Whether through reading, music, sensory exploration, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, or simply encouraging curiosity and conversation, they believe that even the smallest moments can become meaningful opportunities for growth. The family maintains a screen-free, health-conscious household and strongly values a non-toxic, fragrance-free lifestyle. They are seeking someone who similarly prioritizes their own health and wellness, appreciates clean living, and is comfortable respecting the family's preferences regarding personal care products, fragrances, household products, and nutrition. A nanny who genuinely embraces these values, rather than simply accommodates them, would be especially appreciated! Responsibilities will include all aspects of infant care, supporting developmental milestones, preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children, children's laundry, maintaining tidy and organized play areas, planning age-appropriate activities and outings, and occasionally caring for both boys.  The family anticipates enrolling their youngest in caregiver-and-child classes as he grows and would love someone enthusiastic about introducing him to new experiences. A family vehicle will be provided for transporting the children when necessary. The ideal candidate is warm, patient, professional, detail-oriented, organized, and dependable, with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for early childhood education. The family is looking for someone who can become a trusted extension of their parenting team and establish a lasting relationship with their children. Flexibility for occasional date nights, weekends, and extended family travel approximately one to two times per year would be greatly appreciated. The family currently resides in a quiet residential neighborhood in Aldie, with nearby parks and ample parking, and plans to relocate to Leesburg in 2027 upon completion of renovations to their permanent home. There is also a sweet, elderly hypoallergenic dog in the home, although no pet care is required.  The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM–5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with compensation of $35–40/hour depending on experience, paid legally through payroll. Benefits include paid vacation, paid sick days, and paid holidays. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and an up-to-date Tdap vaccination. The family is open to out-of-state candidates and willing to provide relocation assistance for the right fit! The anticipated start date is October 26, 2026, or as soon as possible.
