Dispatcher - OS

Responsible for dispatching company and third-party trucking as well as fielding calls from customers.

• →Coordinate freight movements.
• →Dispatch and assign drivers/carrier for customer service through the use of the OTM system and Samsara.
• →Provide quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
• →Effectively communicate with yard managers to access their transportation/dispatch needs.
• →Ability to organize and make decisions.
• →Investigate accidents when necessary.
• →All other tasks as assigned.
• → 

• Excellent attendance record.
• Experience in dispatch or the transportation field is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with other departments and all levels of employees.
• Must represent the company at all times in a positive and professional manner to enhance the company’s image with employees, leadership and the public.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate effective time management skills.
• Strong keyboarding skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Knowledge of Federal and State DOT regulations.
• Knowledge of IFTA and reporting procedures.
• Ability to make quick decisions in an ever changing fast paced work environment.
