The Role

The DC Team Member position is diverse and may encompass a number of operational and factuality specific roles, the primary function of a Team Member is to perform picking duties, however, DC Team Members may also perform packing, sorting, dispatch, inwards, and forklift operation, or other operational duties. The basic objective for this position is to provide the organization with high quality, accurate, and efficient warehousing and logistics support. This is a multi-skilled position and therefore DC Team Members may be required to work in all/ any department as required in the distribution center according to the individual’s training and skill level.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in line with site specific KPIs including:
• Shipping
• LPNs
• Accuracy
• Productivity  
• Other operational KPIs as applicable
• Ensure accurate daily punches in time keeping systems
• Compliance with safety non-negotiables list
• Compliance with COG policies and procedures at all times
• All Shipments GRN’d within DC Lead Times / all Shipments (inc AF & LCL) processed within expectations
• 1 LPN per Carton Received
• Pick, Carton, Unit & Active/Reserve location accuracy
• Pick, Fill to Active & Pull from Bulk rates.
• DIFOT
• Actively participate in Safety Campaigns
• Comply with all safety related policies, procedures, SWPs and all other safety requirements and expectations
• Report all hazards, near misses, incidents & injuries

Desired Knowledge , Experience, and Key Skills

• Experience in a fast paced, KPI driven Logistics, DC or similar environment
• Certificate level qualifications in Warehousing desirable but not essential
• Experience using WMS & RF systems
• Safety: Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to safe work practices
• Attention to Detail: Committed to delivering accurate results  
• Fast & Flexible: Displays a sense of urgency, while retaining safety and accuracy, and is receptive to change
• Team Focussed: A team player who supports the team by removing hazards and obstacles to productivity

Physical Requirements

In Accordance with DC Taks included but not limited to:

• Frequent and repetitive walking, standing, reaching, squatting, bending
• Frequent and repetitive manual retrieval of items from pallets/shelved cartons
• Frequent and repetitive lifting of packages of various weights up to approximately 50 pounds
• Consistent pushing of manual trolley
