Within the Japan & South Korea Operating Unit, Coke ON is a unique digital asset in the global Coca-Cola system: Japan's proprietary consumer loyalty platform operating on the world's highest-density vending machine network. JKOU is transforming Coke ON from a vending loyalty app into an omnichannel consumer engagement platform — personalizing rewards and content at the individual user level, expanding loyalty beyond vending, gamifying the experience, and building brand-led communities. This transformation makes Coke ON both a significant growth engine and a critical point of differentiation for JKOU's business performance.

The Director, Solution Architect owns the architectural vision and standards for the Coke ON platform, including API design, non-functional requirements, and security principles, and sets the technical direction that enables the platform's next phase of growth. The role is the senior technical authority ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, aligned with enterprise standards, and capable of supporting future business capabilities.

As the platform transforms to support one-to-one personalization, omnichannel expansion, and gamified experiences, the role provides the architectural blueprint and governance that allow the platform to scale in capability and volume without compromising reliability, security, or cost — and represents Coke ON's architecture in enterprise-wide governance and standards forums.

• →Own and evolve the end-to-end target architecture for Coke ON across mobile, backend, data, integration, cloud and consumer engagement capabilities.
• →Act as the client-side architecture authority across Coke ON's multi-partner delivery ecosystem, governing architecture boundaries, technical standards and cross-partner decisions.
• →Define domain boundaries and modular architecture enabling Core, Personalization, Loyalty, Fun & Play, Omnichannel and other capabilities to evolve independently behind well-defined interfaces.
• →Set and govern API, event and data-contract standards, including versioning, compatibility, synchronous/asynchronous patterns and integration lifecycle management.
• →Own measurable architecture NFRs covering scalability, resilience, performance, security, privacy, DR, observability and transaction integrity.
• →Lead architecture for the Coke ON 2.0 → 3.0 transition, including coexistence, migration and preservation of consumer identity, value, entitlements and history.
• →Ensure the platform supports personalization, experimentation and measurement by design, including event instrumentation, experiment assignment and outcome measurement.
• →Evaluate technology and architecture choices across GCP, data, MarTech, AI and emerging capabilities, balancing enterprise standards with justified Japan-specific requirements.
• →Own architecture decision records, technical exceptions and architecture risk escalation, balancing business value, cost, security, time-to-market and long-term maintainability.
• →Provide architecture assurance throughout build, integration and production readiness and ensure vendor solutions conform to the agreed target architecture.
• →Represent Coke ON architecture with CCJC/TCCC technology, security and enterprise architecture stakeholders.

• Sets the technical direction and scalability strategy for JKOU's flagship consumer platform through its transformation.

• Serves as the senior technical authority aligning local platform architecture with enterprise standards and the global digital ecosystem.

• Architects for future capabilities — personalization at scale, omnichannel, AI-enabled features — while managing current constraints.

• Balances architectural purity with pragmatic delivery needs in a fast-moving product environment.

• Serves as the senior voice on architectural decisions and trade-offs to delivery leadership, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.

• Influences and negotiates with global architecture and security stakeholders to shape platform standards.

A hands-on platform architect with strong software engineering fundamentals and the judgment to serve as Coke ON's client-side technical authority across a complex multi-vendor transformation. The successful candidate combines deep architecture fundamentals with pragmatic delivery judgment, can move comfortably between architecture and implementation detail, and can influence engineering partners, business stakeholders and global technology teams.

• Significant hands-on software engineering and solution/platform architecture experience, including demonstrated ownership of architecture decisions for large-scale production systems.

• Deep expertise in cloud architecture, API design, security principles, and non-functional requirements.

• Experience guiding platform modernization or re-architecture programs.

• Familiarity with data platforms, personalization engines, and AI-enabled services preferred.

• Track record of representing architecture decisions to senior/executive stakeholders and cross-functional governance bodies.

• Business-level English required; Japanese proficiency preferred.
