SWD Operator/Technician

The position of Salt Water Disposal Operator will be responsible for maintaining records for daily reports, performance maintenance on pumps and other equipment with minimal or no supervision. 

• →Cleaning out SWD filter baskets on the pumps and offload locations.
• →Provide excellent customer service while interacting with truck drivers.
• →Checking loads to ensure fluid is acceptable for disposal.
• →Proactively monitoring water levels at site to ensure tanks are within their operating parameters.
• →Daily inspection of equipment and facility operating functions.
• →Perform necessary preventive and corrective maintenance.
• →Monitoring and account for skim oil volumes removed from facility.
• →Tracking pump pressures.
• →Coordinate with trucking companies on delivery of saltwater.
• →Monitoring drivers for proper procedures and the use of personal protection equipment.
• →Maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.
• →Ensure compliance with HSE policies and saltwater disposal requirements.
• →Reporting safety and environmental issues to management.

• Computer knowledge - proficient utilizing MS Windows environment.
• Strong initiative and self-starter.
• Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
• Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment.
• General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to identify operational inefficiencies.
• Understanding of business fundamentals.
• Ability to implement cost effective solutions.
• Technical Skills related to math and analytical thinking.
• Understanding of the importance of environmental and safe work practices.
• One (1) year of salt water disposal operation experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of PD pumps, Quinniplex pumps, H pumps, & Centrifugal pumps.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Excel) and simple mathematical calculations.
• Valid driver's license and clean record.
