Part-Time Groundskeeper

Location: Montara, CaliforniaEmployment Type: Part-Time, W-2Schedule: 1 to 2 days per week (Thursday or Friday preferred, with some flexibility)Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a paid 30-minute lunch breakGuaranteed Hours: Set number of guaranteed hours each weekCompensation: $30-35+ per hour | depending on experience Start Date: As soon as possible

• →Work alongside the property's groundskeeper on routine upkeep and larger projects
• →Mow grass, weed, and trim bushes and hedges
• →Handle labor-intensive jobs, including hand digging in areas where machines can't fit
• →Stack firewood
• →Operate the wood chipper and other grounds equipment safely
• →Rake, haul, and clear debris, including after storms
• →Help with planting and seasonal garden care
• →Support other outdoor projects as needed

• A strong work ethic and a real willingness to learn
• Gardening or landscaping experience is a plus, but not required
• Dependable, takes direction well, and works well as part of a team
• Comfortable using grounds equipment, or willing to learn
• Conversational English, enough to communicate clearly with the groundskeeper and family
• Lives within a reasonable commute of Montara and has a reliable vehicle
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete a background check and provide references
• Non-smoker, with no smoking or vaping on the property or during working hours
• Comfortable around dogs, since the family plans to welcome a small dog

This is an active, hands-on role. You'll need to be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 40 to 50 lbs. regularly
• Work outdoors in coastal weather, including wind, fog, and rain
• Do repetitive tasks such as digging, raking, trimming, and hauling
• Move across uneven terrain on a 2-acre property
• Operate standard landscaping equipment safely
