Supply Coordinator

• Bachelor's degree, or
• High school diploma/GED plus four (4) years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment, including at least two (2) years of inventory management experience and at least two (2) years of experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Rounds daily in the OR and Nursing Areas to communicate with surgeons/staff and obtain all updates to preference cards/supply needs.
• Works collaboratively with Clinical Coordinators to maintain and update all preference cards/supply needs.
• Works directly with surgery and Supply Chain to identify over- or under-used items after cases, for opportunities to decrease waste due to no use or expiring product.
• Identifies cost-effective materials/supplies, and works with Supply Chain, OR Director, and coordinators to develop and implement plans to change where applicable.
• Facilitates supplier/vendor changes that result in new or substitute products.
• Works with Supply Chain, vendors, surgeons, and OR staff to coordinate new product trials and conversion efforts in a logical manner.
• Maintains a progress record pertaining to core activities for reporting and facilitating system-wide improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
