Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program is a two-year experiential program designed to advance lifelong learning and the education and training of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) graduates. A key element of the program’s success is preparing Fellows to meet evolving workforce needs across various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry.

Fellows have the opportunity to work closely with innovative biopharmaceutical industry partners while engaging with Northeastern University faculty in professional and career development, teaching, service, and scholarly activities.

In partnership with Northeastern University, Sarepta Therapeutics is offering a two-year Scientific Communications Fellowship based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Sarepta is a global biotechnology company on an urgent mission to engineer precision genetic medicine for rare diseases that devastate lives and cut futures short. The company is advancing drug development by driving efficiencies, shortening the time from lab to patient, and building gene therapy manufacturing capacity. Sarepta collaborates with health networks and payers while rethinking pricing models for innovative treatments in development. The organization is dedicated to transforming genetic understanding into genetic medicine for patients with rare diseases.

The Pharmacy Postdoctoral Fellow will join the Sarepta Global Scientific Communications (Sci Comms) team for a two-year commitment. The objective of the Global Sci Comms team is to develop and execute a holistic strategic communication plan that supports Sarepta’s platforms and programs by building timely, balanced, evidence-based scientific narratives that provide clear and consistent content for a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders.

This fellowship is designed to provide the Fellow with in-depth experience within Scientific Communications through collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and engagement with external experts on key company initiatives. The Fellow will be immersed in publication and medical communication activities related to clinical research, health economics and outcomes research, and real-world evidence. The Fellow will support strategic dissemination of data across a wide range of channels and lead diverse projects throughout the two-year program based on business needs and professional interests.
