Research Assistant (Psychology/Education)

The School of Social Sciences (SSS) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant (Psychology/Education) on a 24-month contract basis, renewable subject to performance and project needs.

  Liaise with participating primary schools and coordinate day-to-day research operations

• →

  Administer psychoeducational assessments and experimental tasks one-to-one with students

• →

  Distribute, collect, and track parent and teacher questionnaires

• →

  Maintain research records; support data entry, cleaning, and quality checking

• →

  Assist with ethics documentation, literature searches, research reports, and stakeholder materials

• →

  Train and coordinate part-time student research assistants during data collection

• →

  Perform administrative and procurement tasks as required by the Principal Investigator

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Sociology, or a related field

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good command of spoken and written English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders

• Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines; willing to travel to school sites

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)

Preferred:

• Prior experience administering psychometric or psychoeducational assessments to children

• Experience conducting school-based research or working with young children (Primary 1–3 level)

• Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS/jamovi/JASP, R) and data management
