As a Biologist in the Aquatic Biology Laboratory of Water Quality Department, you will work with a team to conduct routine monitoring and analysis of water samples to ensure water safety.

Your main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to:

Responsibilities

→Perform biological analyses of water samples which include morphological and molecular identification of phytoplankton and zooplankton, analyses of chlorophyll-a, algal toxins and acute toxicity tests; input of results into laboratory information management system (LIMS) and alert on abnormalities to trigger investigation for water quality improvement
→Conduct analyses of water quality data, provide scientific and data analytics to drive biological water quality monitoring
→Support R&D studies with the aim of improving efficiency of biological monitoring of water quality, perform methods/protocols development and prepare technical documents as required
→Manage the inventory of laboratory’s equipment, reagents and consumables and maintain laboratory safety
