6KLM is a 28-bed Medical Telemetry Observation Unit caring for a diverse patient population with a wide variety of diagnoses and clinical needs. Most patients are admitted from the Emergency Department, with an average length of stay of approximately two days. The unit routinely cares for patients with chronic pulmonary diseases, pneumonia, wounds, gastrointestinal conditions, and congestive heart failure, while also providing exposure to a variety of procedures and medication drips.

The ideal candidate communicates proactively, follows through on responsibilities, uses sound judgment, and is willing to have thoughtful and sometimes difficult conversations when needed. You should be comfortable coaching and supporting teammates, reinforcing accountability, identifying solutions, and making decisions.

We welcome nurses who have demonstrated leadership through their everyday practice by taking initiative, supporting and educating teammates, modeling professionalism, building strong relationships, and helping positively influence their team.
