Classroom Teacher

We are seeking a passionate specialist teacher for a FTE 0.6 (3 days a week) to join our team

Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include: 

• To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
• We will ensure as professionals that we are open, respectful and inclusive so that everyone feels valued and heard.
• We will promote and have a consistent approach to wellbeing for students, staff and the wider community.
• We will have structure and consistency, working collaboratively across all teaching so all students and teachers know the expectations for their learning for growth and success.
• We will have a strong Catholic Identity that we embrace in all that we do. Respect for each other, engagement in prayer/spirituality and care for Earth.
• We will teach core values, beliefs and respect in line with the STAR matrix from foundation to ensure all staff, students and families are understanding of the expectations and students are able to reach their full potential.

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
• A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
