About the Role
~1 min readWe’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Revenue Officer to join our team and play an important role in supporting accurate, timely and efficient pathology billing. In this role, you’ll help ensure our billing processes run smoothly, from generating invoices and investigating patient and client billing anomalies through to reviewing and resolving worklist items. You’ll bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency and delivering high-quality outcomes.
You’ll also be responsible for processing hospital credits within the billing system, assessing whether credits are correct and creating invoices manually when required. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with systems, data and processes, while making a meaningful contribution behind the scenes to the delivery of quality healthcare services. If you’re organised, curious, and take pride in getting the details right, we’d love to hear from you.
You’re an organised, analytical and adaptable professional who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys solving problems and thrives in a busy environment. You’ll bring strong financial and administrative capability, along with a collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Financial & administrative experience – Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, financial and administrative processes, ideally including accrual accounting within a large organisation or health sector environment.
- Analytical & problem-solving skills – Strong analytical, research and technical skills, with the ability to investigate information, identify issues, recommend practical solutions and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Organisation & adaptability – Proven ability to manage competing priorities and high workloads, work with limited supervision, meet strict deadlines and respond positively to changing requirements, information and procedures.
- Communication & systems capability – Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working with a diverse range of clients and multidisciplinary teams, together with confidence using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases and computerised information systems. Knowledge of pathology or hospital billing and receivables processes will be highly regarded.
