Looking for a place where you can be yourself, do meaningful work, and actually enjoy coming to work?

At Ellie Mental Health, we're growing and looking for passionate, creative, and dedicated therapists to join our Virginia clinics!

We're a locally owned, rapidly growing practice committed to expanding access to high-quality mental health care. We believe great therapy happens when clinicians feel supported, valued, and empowered to do what they do best.

Our culture embraces autonomy, flexibility, creativity, authenticity, humor, compassion, and collaboration. We want therapists who bring their unique personalities, strengths, and clinical expertise to the team.

Whether your passion is working with individuals, children, adolescents, couples, or families, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do
  • Provide individualized, evidence-based therapy to a diverse client population.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Maintain a full-time caseload of 25 completed client sessions per week.
  • Use creativity and clinical expertise to help clients achieve meaningful progress.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, medical providers, and community resources when appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, training, and professional development.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment.
  • Bring your ideas, personality, and passion to the clinic!
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
  • Current Virginia clinical licensure or appropriate Resident in Counseling status.
  • Experience completing assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
  • Strong clinical judgment, professional boundaries, and ethical decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Comfort utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Commitment to timely documentation and quality client care.
  • For telehealth services, access to a private, professional, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
We'd Especially Love to Meet Therapists With Experience In:
  • EMDR and trauma-focused treatment
  • Bilingual
  • Play therapy and child-centered interventions
  • Specialized or advanced clinical treatment modalities
We welcome clinicians who bring unique specialties and a desire to continue developing their skills.
We believe therapists should be able to focus on providing exceptional care without unnecessary administrative stress.
  • Straightforward, transparent compensation — hourly pay plus commission on claims.
  • Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance.
  • PTO accrual and an excellent benefits package for eligible employees.
  • Professional development opportunities and access to a continuing education (CEU) library.
  • Furnished, welcoming clinical offices designed to provide a comfortable therapeutic environment.
  • Career growth opportunities as our clinics continue to expand.
  • A leadership team that values communication, collaboration, and the people who make our clinics successful.
Why Ellie?

Because we believe mental health care should be different — for both clients and clinicians.

We want you to feel comfortable being your authentic self, using your creativity, and practicing in a way that reflects your clinical strengths.

We work hard, support one another, celebrate successes, and believe a little humor goes a long way.

We're not just filling positions. We're building a team of clinicians who want to grow, make an impact, and be part of something meaningful.
