Company Description: Founded in 2018 and based in the United States in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Claros Technologies is a global leader in PFAS mitigation, with two core divisions.
Founded in 2018 and based in the United States in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Claros Technologies is a global leader in PFAS mitigation, with two core divisions. The ClarosTech™ division focuses exclusively on the permanent destruction of PFAS, offering affordable, high-flow, scalable, and field-ready systems that destroy long, short, and ultra-short chain PFAS compounds. ClarosLabs™, the company's ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited analytical division, is a leading commercial laboratory dedicated solely to PFAS detection, quantification, and exposure assessment.
We are a diverse team of scientists, engineers, business builders, and impact-driven leaders dedicated to solving critical environmental problems. In 2026, Claros closed a $55 million financing round, positioning us to fulfill commercial adoption and expand globally. If you're a mission-driven and highly motivated individual looking to solve problems without creating new ones, join our team in accomplishing our mission to take the ‘forever’ out of “forever chemicals” and destroy PFAS for good.
The Customer Applications Chemist is a hands-on chemistry professional who serves as a critical bridge between research, product development, and customer success. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development, this role combines technical expertise in water chemistry and PFAS treatment with meaningful customer engagement throughout the business development and technology deployment process.
This position is ideal for a chemist who wants to move beyond the laboratory and become a trusted technical advisor to customers. In addition to conducting treatability studies and evaluating customer water chemistries, this role will participate in customer meetings, support early-stage customer qualification efforts, and help identify the most effective treatment approach for each application. The role requires the ability to translate technical findings into practical business recommendations that support customer acquisition, pilot execution, and commercial deployment.
The Customer Applications Chemist will also travel to customer facilities as needed, up to 40% of the time, to support pilot planning, startup, operation, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation alongside Claros engineers, scientists, and customer personnel. Through this combination of laboratory work, field engagement, and customer interaction, the role is designed to cultivate a commercially minded scientist who can effectively connect chemistry, product development, and business growth.
