Claims Counsel

• Apply experienced insight to private passenger automobiles, contract interpretation, multi-state tort law, civil procedure, and litigation matters.
• Research, draft and communicate insurance coverage opinions.
• Interface with claims management, corporate legal and regulatory professionals on a variety of claims-related matters.
• Support claims management with research and analysis of multi-state tort and insurance coverage laws to establish operational policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Present in-person training sessions to adjuster teams and/or management on a variety of legal topics.
• Draft form letters and releases.

• →Juris Doctor with an active license to practice law.
• →5+ years of relevant experience.
• →First-chair (jury trial) insurance defense litigation experience.
• →Technical understanding of property/casualty insurance principles.
• →Strong written and oral communication.
• →Possessed of intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills.
• →Comfort with risk analysis, flexibility and concise decision making; and,
• →Ability to build collaborative working relationships in a smart and dynamic environment focused on getting things done.
